OHVI Industrial Engine
Generacs OHVI (Overhead Valve Industrial) engines have been specifically designed for generator demands. These engines offer the finest lubrication technology available providing instantaneous disbursement of lubricant to all engine parts. They also feature an automotive spin-on oil filter for simplified routine maintenance.
Superior Motor Starting Capabilities
The 17,500-watt model can start a 5-ton air conditioner and the 15,000-watt model can start a 4-ton air conditioner.
Superior Electrical Protection
GUARDIAN Ultra Source portable generators feature an electronic governor, which maintains steady speed and eliminates voltage drop when loads are applied. This, as well as the automatic voltage regulator, provides a smooth rate of electricity, which is especially important for sensitive electronic devices such as computers.
Transfer Switch
The 17.5 kW model comes with a pre-wired 16-circuit, 60-amp indoor rated manual transfer switch, power cord and outdoor connection box. This makes it easy to use a GUARDIAN Ultra Source portable generator to supply power during an outage. With up to 16 selected circuits already pre-wired to the transfer switch, all thats required is to start the generator and plug it in. By flipping a single switch, the utility is locked out and the load is transferred to the generator.
Easy Electric Start
No need to pull a rope. Automatic ignition timing sets the spark for easy starting and optimum operating performance.
Low Oil Pressure Safety Shutdown
Automatic low oil pressure shutdown protects the engine and generator from lack of lubrication.
EPA and CARB Emission Requirements
Generators up to 25kW must comply with EPA and CARB emissions requirements. All GUARDIAN Ultra Source portable generators meet these requirements.
